LP
Digital
LP Digital is the digital inclusion arm of The Launchpad Tanzania, an NGO committed to advancing equity, economic justice, and human capital development in Tanzania. Established in 2018, we operate at the intersection of youth empowerment, gender equality, and digital transformation, working to dismantle systemic barriers that limit access to opportunities in the digital age. Our work centers on ensuring that young people and women are not only included in the digital economy but are active agents, innovators, and decision-makers shaping it.
1. Capacity Building for Economic Justice : We design and deliver inclusive digital skills training, enterprise development, and innovation support programs that expand equitable access to economic opportunities. Our initiatives prioritize historically underserved youth and women, equipping them with the tools, networks, and resources needed to participate meaningfully in and benefit from the digital economy.
2. Digital Rights & Safe, Just Online Spaces : We advance a rights-based approach to digital inclusion, advocating for safe, inclusive, and accountable digital ecosystems. Through our programs, we work to combat online gender-based violence, protect freedom of expression, and ensure that digital platforms uphold the dignity, safety, and agency of all users particularly women and young people.
3.Advocacy, Civic Voice & Narrative Change : We leverage digital storytelling, civic technology, and community mobilization to shift narratives, redistribute power, and amplify underrepresented voices. By strengthening youth and women’s participation in civic and policy spaces, we ensure their lived experiences shape the digital economy. Our work serves as a catalyst for the digital inclusion goals within Tanzania’s Development Vision, ensuring the digital transition is both just and equitable.
Our approach aims to foster a thriving and safe digital economy, emphasizing safe online spaces, job creation, employment, and opportunities in the digital sector.
